Vivek Ramaswamy, an Indian-American US presidential candidate from the Republican Party, has recently come up with solid statements on India-US relationship strategies.

Mr Ramaswamy called for stronger ties with India including the military relationship as it can help US to seek economic independence from China.

“A stronger US-India relationship could help the US declare independence from China”, he said in a video message shared by the news agency the Press Trust of India(PTI) on X (formerly Twitter).

“The US is economically dependent on China today, but with a stronger relationship with India, it becomes easier to declare independence from that Chinese relationship”, he added.

Mr Ramaswamy cheered for a more stronger strategic tie with India that can benefit military relationship in the strategically important Andaman Sea.

“I think US should also have a stronger strategic relationship with India, including even military relationship in the Andaman Sea knowing that India, if necessary, could block the Malacca Strait where actually China gets most of its Middle Eastern oil supplies”, added that he would lead the US foreign policy accordingly.

Recently he has also talked about his vision on US relationship with countries like China, Israel, and Russia.

“By the end of my first term, the US-Israel relationship will be deeper and stronger than ever because it won’t be a client relationship, it will be a true friendship. The centerpiece of my Middle East policy in Year 1 will be to lead “Abraham Accords 2.0” which will fully integrate Israel into the Middle East economy. A brighter future of Israel and good for the US”, he wrote on X.

“The single most important thing we can do to strengthen America relative to China is to disband the Russia-China military alliance & reduce our economic dependence on China”, he said on Sunday.

The 38 year old Mr Ramaswamy is a second-generation Indian-American. He founded Roivant Sciences in 2014 and led the largest biotech IPOs of 2015 and 2016, eventually culminating in successful clinical trials in multiple disease areas that led to FDA-approved products, reported the Hindustan Times.

The presidential aspirant dominated the debate stage on Wednesday night using his outlier policy views and raised USD 600,000 the next day, says reports.

He also told reporters that soon only two candidates would be left in the race, him and former President Donald Trump. “I was the clear winner of the night. But we are just getting started…My sense is that it landed very well. Pretty soon it”ll be down to a two-horse race between Trump and myself”, he said in confidence.

The 2024 United States elections are scheduled to be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. During this presidential election year, the President of the United States and Vice President will be elected.
