As Israel’s genocide upon Gaza and Palestine has reached day 251 on Sunday, thousands of Palestinians offered Eid al-Adha prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem. Despite Israel’s restrictions, and assault against the devotees, about 40,000 worshippers offered prayers in Al-Aqsa, the third-holiest mosque of Muslims.

Muslims in Gaza have offered prayers for Eid al-Adha, also called the festival of sacrifice, in the streets and public areas where they are surrounded by destruction and devastation.

The Islamic Waqf in Jerusalem has reported that Zionist occupation forces have attacked the worshippers on their way to the mosque, preventing dozens from entering the compound to perform the Eid prayers.

The Palestinians are celebrating the festival against the backdrop of the bombing by the Zionist nation of Israel, where thousands have lost their lives. Since October 7, at least 37,300 people have been killed and 85,299 wounded in Israel’s genocide on Palestine, and it mostly includes women and children, Al Jazeera reports.

As per multiple reports, Israel has prevented the entry of the sacrificial animals into Gaza from all its borders and preventing the Palestinians from performing the rituals.

Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza is currently facing the worst crisis in Palestine’s history. While thousands have been killed, children in large numbers are facing starvation and famine. On Saturday, the UNRWA warned that more than 50,000 children in Gaza are acutely malnourished and require immediate treatment.

Since Hajj is a symbol of sacrifice and unity, the Imam of Kaaba and preacher of Arafat Day, Sheikh Maher Bin Hamad Al-Muaiqly, has called on Hajj pilgrims to pray for Palestinians.
