Trump Declares Iran Nuclear Sites "Completely Destroyed" Amid US Intel's "Not Destroyed" Report
While Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced a ‘historic victory’ against Iran, early US intel assessment suggests American strikes on Iran did not destroy Iran’s nuclear program and likely only set it back by months. Meanwhile, Trump dismissed this claim on Tuesday, through a post on his Truth Social platform that ‘THE NUCLEAR SITES IN IRAN ARE COMPLETELY DESTROYED!
Following 12 days of intense strikes, Iran and Israel agreed to a ceasefire on Tuesday, after Trump intervened in the conflict at the weekend by launching bunker-busting bombs – which Israel lacks – at three key Iranian nuclear facilities that he claimed were destroyed. This was followed by an Iranian retaliatory strike targeting the largest US military facility in the Middle East.

However, according to preliminary US intelligence report, the American attacks did not succeed in entirely dismantling Iran‘s centrifuge network or its enriched uranium inventory. The strikes blocked off entrances to some facilities without destroying underground buildings. The intel assessment was produced by the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Pentagon’s intelligence arm and it has not been previously reported.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt had previously verified the assessment’s authenticity, but stated its conclusions were wrong.
“The leaking of this alleged assessment is a clear attempt to demean President Trump, and discredit the brave fighter pilots who conducted a perfectly executed mission to obliterate Iran’s nuclear program,” Leavitt wrote in a social media post.
According to Iran’s health ministry, Israeli strikes on Iran killed at least 610 civilians and wounded more than 4,700. In Israel, official figures and statements from rescuers indicate that Iran’s attacks have resulted in 28 deaths.
