Expressing alarm at the fake video that has gone viral, the statement states that the video is fake and “totally untrue.” The Laal Singh Chaddha actor has reported the matter to the concerned authorities and has filed an FIR with the Cyber Crime Cell of the Mumbai Police.
The statement concludes a message from the actor urging all citizens of the country to vote and be an active part of the elections.
The AI-generated deep fake video uses a clip from the TV show Satyamev Jayate, hosted by Aamir Khan, which was telecasted over ten years ago.
