Following Royal Challengers Bengaluru”s (RCB) defeat to Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 on Wednesday, netizens trolled fans of the Bengaluru franchise for another trophyless year.
Put into bat first, Virat Kohli (33), Rajat Patidar (34), and Mahipal Lomror (32) played cameo knocks as RCB posted a decent 172/8 in the stipulated 20 overs. Yashasvi Jaiswal (45) and Riyan Parag (36) powered RR in the chase as they sailed over the line with four wickets to spare in the 19th over.
The defeat marked RCB”s 17 years in the lucrative tournament without a trophy and fans on netizens rubbed salt to their wounds by trolling them.

“With the dew coming, we felt we were short with the bat. Did think we were 20 runs shy of what was a good score. Credit to the boys – they fought really well. That”s all you can ask for.
