Anand Mahindra Agrees With Elon Musk On More Car Manufacturing Movies

Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra who is known for his interesting tweets and remarks on X, has now come up sharing his view on not having enough movies on car manufacturing plants. Elon Musk in his earlier post has shared his view regarding having more movies on manufacturing cars.

Sharing his thoughts on X, he wrote that many movies exist about a lone inventor in a garage having a eureka moment but almost none on manufacturing. “So its underappreciated by the public,” Musk wrote.

“Compared to the insane pain of reaching high-volume, positive-margin production, prototypes are a piece of cake,” Musk added in his post.

Replying to Musk, Anand Mahindra too agreed to his view. Anand wrote on X that he too started his career on the shop floor of an auto plant. And he has never stopped being in awe of the relentless effort and non-stop problem-solving that goes into marketing products at high volume.

He then emphasised that the heroes of manufacturing deserve to have films made about them. Sharing his view, he wrote, “More so because the films we make of our cars being manufactured get large viewership on YouTube So there’s certainly an audience out there looking for more…”.

Anand Mahindra earlier in December shared a video of a boy named Cheeku Yadav who wanted to buy a Thar for just Rs 700. In the tweet shared, Mahindra wrote that he ‘loved the boy’ but could not sell the car for such a low price as they would go bankrupt. Although Mahindra couldn’t grant his wish, he arranged a visit for the young boy to the Chakan plant, where Thar is manufactured.
