Can-Am, Is Making Waves In The Electric Motorcycle Industry

With the launch of the 2025 Pulse and Origin all-electric motorcycle lineup, Cam-Am has set its sights on becoming the global leader of electric motorcycles. By expanding into the electric market, Can-Am is going to make a significant impact on the industry aiming to attract a new generation of riders and EV enthusiasts, offering sustainable and environmentally friendly options.

The Can-Am Origin and Can-Am Pulse, promises to deliver exceptional performance, innovative technology and a more eco-conscious riding experience. Canadian automaker Can-Am, known for the Spykar and Rykar trikes, has entered into the two-wheeler industry, unveiling the Origin and Pulse electric motorcycles. Can-Am has announced prices for the two motorcycles and is looking at a 2025 launch.

A closer look at details

The two electric motorcycles from Can-Am are poles apart — one is a road-focused machine while the other is aimed at adventure. The Can-Am Pulse is a street-biased motorcycle that gets 17-inch wheels at both ends, 41mm KYB USD forks, and a fully adjustable Sachs rear shock. The Pulse weighs 177kg and gets an approachable seat height of 784mm. The Can-Am Origin is an adventure motorcycle that rolls on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels wrapped in dual-sport rubber. The motorcycle is also suspended on 43mm KYB USD forks and gets a fully adjustable rear suspension, while its seat height stands at 865mm with a ground clearance of 247mm.

Battey specifications

While the hardware sets the two apart, they share a number of components. The battery pack and motor, is a Rotax E-Power motor with an 8.9kWh battery pack. The motor is available in two states of tune for A1 and A2 licensing, while the latter makes 47bhp. There is also 72Nm of torque on offer, while both motorcycles get an automatic gearbox.

The battery pack on the Origin is good for a range of 144km while the street-focused Pulse returns slightly more range at around 160km and can be charged from 20 to 80 percent in 50 minutes, while they get a 10.25-inch TFT display, various riding and ABS modes.The motorcycles are priced at Rs 17.04 lakh for the Origin and Rs 16.48 lakh for the Pulse.
