The completely electric Honda Activa has finally been unveiled in its complete and final form after much anticipation. Prices for the battery-powered scooter, officially known as the Activa e, will be revealed early in the upcoming year. Booking for the Activa EV will open on January 1, 2025, and deliveries are anticipated to start in February.
Although Honda’s most recent offering maintains the Activa’s iconic design, the all-electric namesake stands out thanks to its 12-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, a sleek LED taillamp, a smiling DRL strip on the handlebar, a single-piece dual-tone seat, a chunky pillion grab rail, and a flat floorboard.

The e-scooter comes in five different colours: Pearl Igneous Black, Pearl Misty White, Pearl Shallow Blue, Pearl Serenity Blue, and Matt Foggy Silver Metallic. The Activa e seems more sleeker overall than its gasoline-powered sister. A 7.0-inch TFT instrument panel with day and night settings that automatically adjust the screen’s brightness and readability based on ambient light is one of the many technological features Honda is delivering with the new Activa Electric. On the handlebar are toggle switches that may be used to operate the TFT screen.
It also has a smart key with functions including Smart Start, Smart Unlock, Smart Safe, and Smart Find. The top-of-the-line Activa Electric model comes with the Honda RoadSync Duo app, which provides real-time connection and navigation. The key feature of the all-electric Activa is its interchangeable battery technology, which makes Honda one of the few well-known two-wheeler manufacturers in India to provide it. Honda Power Pack Energy India is responsible for developing and maintaining the portable batteries, which are referred to as the Honda Mobile Power Pack e.

Two such interchangeable batteries, each with a 1.5 kWh capacity, are included with the Activa e, which promises a total range of 102 km on a single charge. Honda will introduce Honda e:Swap, its own battery sharing program that has already launched in Bengaluru and Delhi and is about to open in Mumbai.
Returning to the Activa e’s engine, it is driven by a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor that was developed in-house and produces an outstanding 6 kW of peak power and 22 Nm of torque. Its peak speed is 80 kmph, and it can quickly go from 0 to 60 kmph in 7.3 seconds. The Econ, Standard, and Sport riding modes are available.
