
Kawasaki Versys X 300 Launched At Rs 3.80 Lakh; Use The Same Engine From Ninja 300
For 2025, Kawasaki has revived the Versys-X 300, which would cost Rs 3.80 lakh. It has a new colour and updated graphics, but it still has the same engine and feature set as previously.
Before it was discontinued, the Versys-X 300 was last offered for sale in India a few years ago. Now, with updated graphics and a new blue-and-white colour choice, Kawasaki has returned the Versys-X 300 to India for 2025. Additionally, the engine has been modified to meet more stringent emission standards. The X-300 is now offered for sale as a completely constructed unit (CBU), despite reports and spy photos that indicate local assembly (CKD) in India.

The same 296cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that powers the Ninja 300 and produces 40 horsepower and 25.7 Nm powers the Versys-X 300. It is now OBD-2B compliant. A six-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch is mated to it.
A 17-litre gasoline tank is supported by the backbone frame that houses this engine. A monoshock with 148mm of travel and a 41mm telescopic fork with 130mm of travel up front handle suspension chores. The ground clearance is 180 mm. The bike is equipped with tubed tires and spoked wheels that measure 19 inches up front and 17 inches down back.

The Versys-X 300 has a digi-analogue instrument cluster with dual-channel ABS and a gear position indicator, but other features are rudimentary. The Kawasaki Versys-X 300 is priced at Rs 3.80 lakh, which is Rs 12,000 higher than the KTM 390 Adventure. The extra cylinder makes Kawasaki’s offering stand out, even though the KTM has greater power and features.
The Kawasaki Versys-X 300 will make a comeback to India in 2025, bringing with it a new appearance and improved emissions compliance, all the while keeping its reliable engine and straightforward feature set. At ₹3.80 lakh, it is little more costly than the KTM 390 Adventure and joins the competitive adventure bike market. The Versys-X 300 appeals to riders looking for a sophisticated, twin-cylinder touring experience even if it lacks sophisticated amenities and remains a CBU machine. Even while it isn’t the best in terms of technology or performance, its robust construction, respectable suspension travel, and all-around abilities make it a dependable long-distance riding partner.
