The Lamborghini Huracan’s Successor ‘Temerario’ Launched At Rs 6 Crore Powered By 920hp Plug-in Hybrid V8 Engine
After making its global debut at Monterey Car Week in August of last year, the Lamborghini Temerario was just nine months later introduced in India. Lambo’s replacement for the Huracan, the Temerario, is priced at Rs 6 crore before options.
A 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine and three electric motors make up the Temerario’s plug-in hybrid powertrain, in contrast to its predecessor’s 5.2-liter V10 normally aspirated engine. Just the turbo-petrol engine with the turbochargers installed between the two cylinder banks generates 800 horsepower and 720 Nm. This engine is also notable for its ability to reach 10,000 rpm; according to Lamborghini, it is the most potent and high-revving V8 engine ever put into a production vehicle.

A 150hp, 300Nm electric motor is installed in the 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, while the other two axle-mounted motors, each with an output of 82hp, are powered by a 3.8kWh battery. The Temerario produces 800 Nm of torque and 920 horsepower overall. According to the brand, it can reach a high speed of nearly 340 kph and go from 0 to 100 kph in under 2.7 seconds. Regenerative braking, an AC charging port (up to 7kW in 30 minutes), or the V8 engine itself can all be used to charge the 3.8kWh battery.
Despite having all-wheel drive, the Temerario is the first Lamborghini vehicle with a drift mode. Along with having 410mm aluminum disc brakes with 10-pot calipers on the front wheels and 390mm discs with four-pot calipers at the back, it also has drive modes: Citta (FWD, totally electric), Strada, Sport, and Corsa. According to Lambo, it can stop at 100 km/h and 0 meters in 32 meters.
The Temerario’s all-aluminum spaceframe is claimed to reduce weight while increasing torsional rigidity by 20%. Lambo’s junior supercar weighs 1,715 kg (dry), but with a track-focused Alleggerita (or “lightened”) package that includes a carbon fibre rear wing and wheels as well as a special bumper treatment, that weight drops to 1,690 kg.
Along with a dashcam, augmented reality navigation, and onboard telemetry, the 18-way power-adjustable “comfort” seats have heating and ventilation. According to Lamborghini, the Temerario can also carry more luggage than the Huracan.
