Later this year, in November, the Continental GT Cup, Royal Enfield’s most prized motorsport competition, will return for its fifth season. A new chapter in motorsports for the Chennai-based bikemaker began in November 2021 with the start of the bike racing championship’s first season.
Registrations are already open for the next Continental GT Cup, according to the business. Through the official website of the company, interested parties can register. Eight cities are now participating in the competition, compared to just four previous year. Chennai, Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, and the recently added Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Guwahati, and Bengaluru will all host zonal selection rounds.

Finding the top amateur talent is the main goal of the zonal round. A valid driver’s license is the only need for selection. Shortlisted riders will have two days of track experience at each location: Days will be spent training with knowledgeable trainers from Royal Enfield Track School, and Day 2 will involve selections based on each rider’s lap times.
Royal Enfield will continue its exciting “Pro-Am” series structure in the 2019 season, bringing professional and amateur riders together on the same grid for an exhilarating racing event. Additionally, the “Twin Power Trophy” returns, matching each professional rider with an amateur to create competitive teams.
This setup gives novices a great opportunity to pick the brains of seasoned racers. The team-based approach adds a unique aspect of mentorship — promoting talent development through real-time collaboration, advice, and shared on-track experience — while maintaining individual achievements like podium finishes and titles.

Through eight zonal rounds, Royal Enfield will shortlist 64 amateur riders, choosing the top eight from each zone. Final selections for the amateur and professional GT Cup categories will be held at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore from July 3–6, 2025. Fifty professional and sixty amateur riders will compete for a desired position on the final grid.
In the end, the top 24 riders in both categories will advance to the main championship. The four-month racing extravaganza, which will include eight races across three rounds, will begin in August 2025 and end in November. The JK Tyre National Racing Championship will also include this year’s competition. The dates for the final three rounds are August, September, and November.
