Vinfast, a Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer, is preparing to introduce its first EV in India later this year. India has now seen a prototype of the future VF7. The recent picture, depicts an uncamouflaged VF7 unit wearing a black outfit.

The India-spec VF7 is probably the electric SUV that was just brought into the nation. It has a Jet Black exterior and 19-inch gloss black alloy wheels with 245/50 R19 Apollo Aspire tires mounted on them. This configuration is different from the one that was on exhibit at the Expo earlier this year, which used Goodyear Eagle F1 tires on 20-inch wheels.

Since many foreign automakers utilize a similar strategy for the Indian market to improve ride quality, the India-spec model’s usage of smaller wheels is a sensible decision. Other color possibilities for the VF7, such as Brahminy White, Crimson Red, and Neptune Grey, are also listed on the VinFast website. A few additional specifics regarding its anticipated characteristics are also confirmed. A camera on the ORVM and an ADAS sensor on the front bumper indicate the addition of a 360-degree camera and blind spot monitor.

Both the Eco and Plus versions of the VF7, which come with a 75.3kWh battery pack, are available abroad. A single motor on the front axle powers the VF7 Eco, generating 204 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque. The VF7 Plus, on the other hand, has a dual-motor configuration that produces 500Nm and 354 horsepower combined. VinFast claims that the Plus variant has a range of 431 km while the Eco variant has a WLTP range of 450 km.
