Marking its 18th anniversary, domestic carrier IndiGo launched its ‘IndiGo Stretch’ business class with exclusive and exciting features available on all 12 metro routes served from Delhi.

At an event organised in Delhi IndiGo celebrating the airline’s anniversary, CEO Pieter Elbers said, “We are launching a tailor-made business product on the busiest and business routes of the country.”

The IndiGo flights will have 12 business class seats in a 2-2 configuration, which promises comfort and space. Preserving the current seating layout, the 6E cabin will provide 208 seats, including the XL seat in the middle.

Starting August 6, the tickets for the tailor-made business class can be booked with its launch price set as Rs 18,018 on the first route, Delhi to Mumbai. The 12 routes include Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Mumbai from mid-November.

Notably, Oberoi Hotels will be catering the meals for the premium business class.

IndiGo will also launch its Bluchip loyalty program, which is expected to start in September. Under it, every flight passenger can earn points, which will allow access to prime passes, baggage, and seat select. The airline said that passengers will earn points on every flight, depending on the route and the time.

IndiGo also announced a discount of up to 18 percent off on flights, with the offer valid for the next four days starting from August 5.
