Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi came with many treats during a video conference with the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’s (VBSY) beneficiaries. Among them were the launch of Pradhan Mantri Mahila Kisan Drone Kendra; the dedication of the 10,000th outlet of the Jan Aushadhi Kendra at AIIMS, Deoghar and also a programme, to raise the number of Jan Aushadhi Kendras to 25,000 from 10,000, a government press release said.
In his interaction, the Prime Minister praised the participation of women in the VBSY and also said that the youth of the country “have become ambassadors of VBSY”. The initiatives to drones for women self help groups and raising the number of Jan Aushadi Kendra’s were earlier mentioned in his Independence Day speech.
PM Modi held the virtual interaction as the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra completed 15 days of being mooted. The VBSY aims to see that the benefits of the government’s flagship schemes reach the targeted people in a time specific manner.
The Pradhan Mantri Mahila Kisan Drone Kendra, which would be providing drones to the Women Self Help Groups, is for Women, to benefit from the technology for livelihood assistance, the press release said. In the next three years, 15,000 drones would be distributed among the groups. Training would also be given on how to fly the drones and also upon the uses of the drones. The scheme is to boost the usage of technology in agriculture.
The initiative, Jan Aushadhi Kendra targets the vision of a healthy India. It provides medicines at prices which would be affordable to the citizens. Affordability and easy accessibility of medicines is the foundation for the scheme. During the interaction, the 10,000th landmark launch of the Jan Aushadi Kendra and also a programme, launching the increase in such Jan Aushadi Kendra outlets to 25,000 in number was announced.
The PM also spoke of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, which would concentrate on the people who have not been able to reap the benefits of government schemes or the people who have been left behind. He said that the developments were being monitored; and he also touched upon camps for health check-up and other camps for tribal regions for sickle cell anemia; demonstration of drones were also mentioned. The beneficiaries, he said were being linked to other beneficiary schemes too, such as Ujjwala and Ayushman schemes. The youth of the country was urged to become a part of the My Bharat campaign.
The VBSY, the PM said, was based on the four pillars of ‘Viksit Bharat’; the PM spoke of Nari Shakti, Yuva Shakti, farmers and the poor families, saying that the improvement of living of the four creeds will lead India into a developed country. He concluded the interaction by saying that VBSY will be rounded off only with Sabka Prayas. Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, the Union Minister for Agriculture, was also present during the virtual event.
