'#Cancel_JSSC_CGL' Is Going Viral Amid Demands Of JSSC CGL 2024 Cancellation

The JSSC CGL 2024 (Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level) exam has come under scrutiny as aspirants are demanding the cancellation of the exam. The hashtag ‘#Cancel_JSSC_CGL’ is trending on social media and widespread protests are going on after the alleged reports of paper leaks.

The JSSC CGL exam, which was conducted on September 21 and 22, 2024, has been marred by serious allegations of corruption and mismanagement. The JSSC has released the answer key of the examination however, the final answer key is yet to be released. Aspirants allege that the papers were leaked, compromising the integrity of the recruitment process. Also, some candidates have raised the repetition of several questions from the previous exams.

Aspirants are voicing their anger on social media using hashtags. Those who appeared in the exam also organized torchlight marches across various districts of Jharkhand to show their collective discontent with the exam. Aspirants are demanding a fair inquiry into the alleged irregularities and asking for the cancellation of the examination results.

The JSS has responded to aspirants a chance to submit evidence supporting their claims. On October 6, 2024, the commission extended an invitation to the complaints, asking them to appear with solid proof at the JSSC office in Ranchi. The JSSC Secretary, Sudhir Gupta, emphasised that investigation  into alleged irregulariies is underway. The commission has asked aspirants to provide evidence including CDs, pen-drives, and photographs of documents of the claimed leaked exam.

JSSC has asked, “Complainants have been asked to submit the evidence of the complaints related to irregularities in the exam and its sources along with the affidavit to the commission by October 7. If this is done, the commission will take final decision on the basis of the current evidence”.

However, as per the commission on such evidence is submitted yet and the investigation remains incomplete due to the lack of substantive evidence.
