CBSE Result 2024: Class 10, 12 Results Update
As thousands of students await for their board exam results, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially declared on May 3 that Class 10 and 12 exam results are likely to be released after May 20, 2024. The results can be viewed by students via the official CBSE results website, results.cbse.nic.in.
“CBSE Board results for class X and XII are likely to be declared after 20th May 2024,” the Board has posted this on its official results website on May 3 this year after several fake reports started pouring in with unconfirmed dates.
This year, more than 39 lakh students have appeared for the exams from India and 26 countries abroad through different examination centres. The dates for Class 10 and 12 for this year were 15 February to 13 March and 15 February to 2 April, respectively.
The CBSE results are likely to be announced 48 days after the completion of exams.
Last year, the CBSE Class 10 result and CBSE Class 12 result were announced on May 12, 2023. The overall pass percentage for Class 10th was recorded as 93.12% while 12th results were recorded 87.33%.
Compared to last year, there has been an increase of 5 lakh students in total number of students who have appeared for exams, which was 34 lakh last year. Notably, the practice of releasing merit list for top scoring students in exams will be permanently discontinued from this year. This decision aims to reduce the prevalence of unhealthy competitions among students.
Earlier this month, CBSE has also informed that, after the declaration of results, if students are not fully satisfied with their performance in results, the Board will be providing an opportunity for the students for the verification of marks, facility to obtain photocopy of evaluated answer books and revaluation of answers. The proposed schedule for these activities will be available as the CBSE results have been published on the official website of the board.
