CBSE Warned Against A Fake And Misleading Letter About Postponing Class 12 Exam

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an alert in response to a fake letter circulated on social media.

The Central Board has issued a clarification concerning the circulated fake news and informed that the board has not taken any such decision. The examination schedule remained unaltered and no such changes were made by the board. The board has asked students to beware of any such misleading posts. “Beware! The following letter under circulation is FAKE and misleading. The board has not taken any such decision,” informs CBSE.

The fake letter reads, “It has come to notice of the board that because of Farmers’ protest, there are problem faced out by the board, they are unable to appear in the schools so as per the Government guidelines Board Exams of class XII has been postponed, as soon as you will be informed about the new dates. Looking into the problem, CBSE has decided to postpone the dates of examination centre”, it reads further.

In its earlier advisory board advised students and parents not to fall for any fake news or rumours circulating on social media concerning paper leaks or any foul play.

According to the information available CBSE initiated action against 30 such social media handles creating misinformation among students regarding board exams. Identifying them as suspicious CBSE asked students to unfollow these platforms and advised them to follow only official handles such as @cbseindia29 on ‘X’. The board informed further that it will not be responsible for any mischief through any such sources.
