The Delhi High Court directed the vote counting after cleaning up and restoration of university property damaged during the election campaign. Over 190 spaces were identified for cleanup in the university. The decision to delay the counting process came after an inspection committee found that despite the significant progress, several areas were still not completely cleaned.
The court has directed the university to ensure that all the defaced property gets restored and to submit a status report before proceeding with the vote count. The court has set November 26 as the deadline for the completion of counting.
Reportedly, the university has decided to handle the clean-up process independently to meet the deadline set by the High Court.
