Eid 2024: Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) Organises Eid Milan Program

An ‘Eid Milan’ program was organised today by Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr at Nehru Guest of the university. Eid ul Fitr is being celebrated today in various parts of India after the completion of month of Ramadan.

Officiating Vice Chancellor Prof. Eqbal Hussain, Mr. Mohd. Hadis Lari, Officiating Registrar, Deans, HODs, Chief Proctor, Officers, teaching and non-teaching staff of the university attended the function. Some officials of Delhi Police also attended the program.

Eid-al-Fitr is a beautiful and joyous occasion that brings people together in love and unity. People who attended the function celebrated the festival by expressing gratitude and shared happiness.

On this ocassion Prof. Eqbal Hussain conveyed his best wishes to everyone. He said “May this Eid bring peace, harmony, happiness, good health & prosperity to everyone”.

Jamia Millia Islamia, located in Delhi, an institution originally established at Aligarh in United Provinces, India in 1920 became a Central University by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1988. In 1962, the University Grants Commission declared the Jamia a ‘deemed to be University’. Besides its Nine faculties, the Jamia has a number of centres of learning and research, like AJK-Mass Communication Research Centre (MCRC), Academy of International Studies etc.
