The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) extended the last date to submit applications for fresh admissions for the July 2023 academic session. The updated notification states that the students are capable to register for a fresh application in the July 2023 programmes till October 20, Friday.

10 more days left and candidates can use the official IGNOU website — ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in – for the purpose.

The extended deadline is applicable only for all online distance learning and online mode programmes except for the certificate programmes run by the open university. It has also extended the last date of “Re-registration” for all programmes offered in ODL/Online mode for the July 2023 session to October 20.

How to Apply?

Once the candidate visit the official portal either by http://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in or http://ignouiop.samarth.edu.in, a “Click here for new registration” menu will appear in a blue box. After clicking on it the site will lead to an individual student registration form where the candidate can create unique log-in credentials with a password by providing name, e-mail, and phone number.

Using these credentials, received through email and phone number, the applicant is supposed to login the portal and fill the necessary personal and academic details. The programme interested to enroll in could be chosen along mentioning the papers needed to be incorporated within the curriculum. A scanned copy of the applicant’s photograph, signature, qualification and experience certificates, and proof to the category if belongs to SC/ST/OBC are also needed to be uploaded in the process.

Once the documents are uploaded, a preview button is available to check and verify the given details whether they are correctly filled up. It is better to “save” or “print” the form for future use.

The fee can be paid through credit card, debit card, or by net banking.
