In the Final Placements process, which followed the Laterals Process, firms were grouped into cohorts based on their core business and industry profile, and groups of cohorts were invited to campus across different clusters. In keeping with the practice from the previous years, students were provided the opportunities of making “dream” applications to firms of their choice in subsequent clusters, even with an offer in hand. The purpose of the dream applications is to allow students to find a job that aligns closely with the jobs they aspire to work for. There was a 16% increase in the number of dreamers this cycle when compared to the previous year.
In the Final placements process (including PPOs), Boston Consulting Group made the most offers with 35 offers, followed by Accenture Strategy with 30 offers. Among the Investment Banks, Goldman Sachs was the largest recruiter, making 9 offers, closely followed by Avendus Capital with 7 offers. In the General Management domain, Tata Administrative Services made the highest number of offers – 5, followed by GMR Group with 4 offers.
This year the following cohorts witnessed a significant increase in the number of offers: Niche Consulting offers increased by 22%; Fintech offers increased by 40%; Cards and Financial Advisory by 300%; Advisory Consulting by 120%; Retail B2B & B2C by 400% and Consumer Tech by 800%. This is a testament to the increased diversity among the student pool as well as the recruiters.
