The JEE (Advanced) 2025 will be conducted on Sunday, May 18, 2025, the organising institute IIT Kanpur said in a statement on Monday. The JEE Advanced examination, which is being held for the admission to the Indian Institutes of Technologies in the country, will consist of two papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2) of three hours duration each.
As per the statement, the Paper 1 of JEE Advances will be held from 09:00 IST to 12:00 IST meanwhile the Paper 2 will be held from 14:30 (2:30 pm) IST to 17:30 (5:30) IST on May 18, 2025 (Sunday).

This highly competitive examination will be held for more than two lakh students who will be screened from the JEE Main examination, which is being held by the National Testing Agency or NTA.
The JEE advanced 2025 syllabus has already been released on the official website. The exam’s information brochure, detailing eligibility criteria, application fees, exam pattern and marking scheme will be available soon.

Recently, the Joint Admission Board (JAB) announced that the candidates can appear for the JEE advanced exam twice. Earlier, the attempt numbers were made three, however the new decision has restored the attempts back to two.
The IIT Kanpur and Ministry of Education introduced a 45 day intensive crash course known as SATHEE for the students preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main January 2025 examination. The crash course is scheduled to begin from November 11, 2024.
The 45-days crash course will offer a range of educational tools and resources. The key features include live online sessions conducted daily from 3 pm to 6 pm by experienced students who will cover critical topics and problem-solving strategies.
