Kerala Board Invites Application For SAY/Improvement Exam, Details Here
The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE) has opened the window for students seeking a second chance to pass class 12th or improve their marks to get admission into higher education. The last date for application submission to the parent school is May 15, 2024. Candidates will get application forms from the schools where they were registered for the March 2024 examinations.
The Kerala Board of Higher Secondary Education conducts Save a Year (SAY) or improvement exams for students who failed in one or two subjects and for students who want to improve their grades in any one subject only. The exam provides a window for students to protect an entire academic year from losing. Private compartmental candidates are not eligible to attend the improvement examination.
As per the date sheet released by the Kerala board the SAY (Save A Year)/Improvement Exam 2024 for all the streams including science, arts, and humanities will commence from June 12th To June 20th.
The Kerala board has declared the Plus two or class 12th board exam for over 4,41,120 students who appeared in March 2024. This year the overall pass percentage registered a slight dip by a 4.3% point. Last year the pass percentage was 82.95% however this year the pass percentage remains at 78.69%. This year, a total of 39,242 students secured A+ in all subjects, an increase of 5,247 than last year, and over 63 schools across Kerala secured 100% pass percentage.

The SAY exam will be conducted in two sessions daily, one is the forenoon session (FN) and the other is the afternoon session (AN). The exam schedule is available which provides information regarding the improvement exams.
The candidate needs to submit their application forms and the principal of the schools shall register the candidates at their center for SAY/Improvement Examination 2024 online, through iExaMS. The SAY Examination fee is Rs 150 per subject and the fee for improvement examination is Rs 500 per subject.
