NTA Directs Aspirants To Update Aadhaar And Integrate APAAR ID With NEET (UG) -2025 Examination
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has asked the NEET aspirants to update their credentials in Aadhaar, following the instructions issued by the Department of Higher Education and the Ministry of Education. The move is aimed at ensuring a seamless and transparent process for aspirants to appear for the NEET (UG) 2025 Examination.
NTA said that following the directions issued by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, the APAAR ID (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) should be integrated with the NEET (UG) – 2025.

The notice read, “Candidates are encouraged to use their APAAR ID as well as Aadhaar-based authentication during the application and examination process. Updated credentials are highly recommended for ease of verification, registration process and to enhance the integrity of the examination process”.
Candidates are advised to update their credentials in Aadhaar, as per their 10th Marksheet/Passing Certification. NTA also asked the candidates to link Aadhaar with their valid mobile numbers for OTP-based authentication.

What is APAAR ID?
APAAR stands for Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry. It is a specialized identification system designed for all students in India. This initiative is part of the ‘One Nation, One Student ID’ program launched by the government, aligning with the new National Education Policy of 2020.
APAAR ID is a unique 12-digit code to help students digitally store, manage, and access all their academic credits, including Score Card, marksheets, grade sheets, degrees, diplomas, certificates, and co-curricular accomplishments. This ID functions as a permanent digital identity for the students in the education ecosystem.
