Rani Durgavati University Forgets To Conduct Exam; VC Orders Investigation

In a peculiar event in Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur, Rani Durgavati University students were seen protesting blindfolded. Students came to meet the Vice-Chancellor complaining over the MSc Computer Science First Semester Exam scheduled on March 5 which the university forgot to conduct. The schedule and admit cards were already released by the university but the exam could not be conducted on the due date.

The student association argued that if the university had canceled the examination, it should have informed the students about the development. A total of 10 students were about to appear for the examination and they had to face problems because of the university’s negligence.

Reportedly, some of the students had to come from other districts to appear for the examination scheduled on March 5, 2024, at 8 AM Morning. Upon reaching the university, students were informed that the examination was cancelled and even the question paper for the scheduled exam was not prepared by the university.

After the student’s protest, Vice Chancellor Rajesh Verma and Registrar Deepesh Mishra released a new schedule for the MSc first semester examination. Following this, the VC of the university has issued orders to investigate the irregularity in the conduct of the examination. A three-day response time has been given to find out the reason behind the mishap.

Student body NSUI said, “The negligence done by the university should be taken seriously. How can they forget the datasheet and other important things. The students who had prepared hard for the exam have been fooled. This is not a matter of any small school or college. This is the case of a famous university.”
