Supreme Court To Hear Petition To Postpone NEET-PG 2024 Exam Tomorrow

The Supreme Court will hear a petition to postpone the NEET PG 2024 examination schedule on August 11, 2024.

Advocate Anas Tanwir mentioned today’s petition for urgent hearing before Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud. CJI responded to hear the matter tomorrow.

The petitioners stated that candidates appearing for the NEET PG exam scheduled on August 11 had been allocated city centres that are highly inconvenient for them to reach. Notably, test cities were informed to candidates on July 31 and the admit cards are scheduled to be released on August 8. It is argued that candidates can not make travel and stay arrangements in a given short span.

B. Issue a writ like a Mandamus or order directing Respondent No. 01 to conduct the exam in a single batch to ensure a uniform and fair testing environment for all candidates.

C. Issue a writ like Mandamus and order to rectify Examination Centre Allocation Issues and ensure that test centers are allocated more equitably and transparently at nearby places.
