VIT Research Entrance Exam January 2025 Session; Applications Are Invited
Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has started the application process for the VIT Research Entrance Examination (VITREE) for admission to various Ph.D/Direct Ph.D programs for the VITREE – January 2025 session. Interested and eligible candidates can visit the official website – admission.vit.ac.in for the application procedure and fill out the form. To fill out the application form, candidates will need to register using email ID and password.
According to the VIT, the examination will be conducted on December 7, 2024, in 28 cities across India in the afternoon session from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. The last date to apply for the VITREE 2025 is November 25, 2024. The application fee is Rs 1200.
The duration of the examination is 2 hours. The questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with 1 mark each and no negative marking.

The question paper of the Ph.D. exam will have 100 MCQs with 70 questions on technical, 15 on English communication skills, and 15 on statistics and probability. Also, the question paper for Direct Ph.D will have 100 MCQs with 80 questions on technical and 20 questions on English communication skills. The paper will be conducted in English language only.
The Phd programs are offered in different streams including science, bio-science, engineering, computer science, social sciences and languages, business studies, design, management studies, agriculture advanced learning, health studies and Media studies among others.
