In Haryana’s Badhra assembly constituency, BJP’s Umed Singh won the seat. He won the election by defeating Indian National Congress’ Somvir Singh over the margin of 7,585 votes. Independent candidate Somveer Ghasola is at the third place
The Badhra assembly constituency lies in the Bhiwani district. In 2019 assembly election, Naina Singh of Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) won the seat by defeating Ranbir Singh Mahendra of the Indian National Congress with the margin of 13,704 votes.
During the 2014 assembly election, BJP’s Sukhvinder won the seat with the margin of 5,006 votes. He won the seat defeating INC’s Ranbir Singh Mahendra.
As per the Election Commission of India’s data, the voter turn-out of Badhra this year was 60 percentage. In 2019, the voter turn-out was 78.16 percentage.
For this year’s election, there were total of 15 candidates vying for the seat. Key players were Umed Patuwas of BJP, Sombir Singh Sheoran of INC, and Vijay Panchgava of INLD.
