Indian National Congress’ Jassi Petwar won the Narnaund assembly seat. He won the election after defeating Captain Abhimanyu of the Bharatiya Janata Party over the margin of 12,578 votes. Umed Singh Lohan of Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) came third in the election.
The Narnaund assembly constituency lies in the Hisar district of Haryana. In the 2019 assembly election, JJP’s Ram Kumar Gautam won the election by beating BJP’s Captain Abhimanyu with the margin of 12,029 votes. In 2014, Abhimanyu won the seat by beating Indian National Lok Dal’s (INLD) Raj Singh Mor with a slight margin of 5,761 votes.
As per the Election Commission of India, the voter turn-out of the constituency is estimated to be 74.14 percentage. In the 2019 assembly election, the voter turn-out was estimated to be 77.75 percentage.
This year, there are a total of 14 candidates vying for the seat. The major contestants are INLD’s Umed Singh Lohan, BJP’s Captain Abhimanyu, and Indian National Congress’ (INC) Jassi Petwar.
