New Delhi: As Delhi assembly elections are around the corner, AAP announced free treatment for elderly citizens at all government and private hospitals.  In a major announcement, AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal said: “Free healthcare for all above 60 in government, private hospitals.” Once party retains power in the national capital, people above the age of 60 will be treated for free under ‘Sanjeevani Yojana’, former  chief minister said.

Sharing the snippets from the announcement on X, Kejriwal wrote: “The elders of Delhi have always considered me as their son. Today I am going to fulfill my duty. If AAP wins, all citizens above 60 years of age in Delhi will get free treatment under Sanjeevani Yojana. Whether the hospital is government or private, whatever be the cost of treatment, now the complete treatment of the elderly is my responsibility.”

“There will be no upper limit on the cost of treatment. Registration for this will start in a day or two. AAP workers will come to your home for registration. They will give you a card, keep it safe. Once we come into power after the elections, this policy will be implemented,” NDTV quotes as Kejriwal is saying.
