In the Hodal constituency, BJP‘s Harinder Singh emerged victorious by a margin of 2,595 votes. He secured a total number of 68, 865 votes. The Congress candidate Udai Bhan who battled neck-to-neck has jinxed and secured 66,270 votes as per the Election Commission of India. The independent candidate Naveen Rohila garnered 2,o77 votes.
Hodal is considered one of the 90 Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) constituencies in the state of Haryana and it is located in the South Haryana region. The seats in the Hodal constituency can be classified as Rural which falls in the Palwal district of Haryana and it is also part of the Faridabad (General) Lok Sabha constituency.
The Faridabad Lok Sabha seat was won by Krishan Pal of the BJP who beat Avtar Singh Bhadana of the INC in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. Similarly, in 2014 the BJP was ahead in this particular assembly segment and the Faridabad Lok Sabha constituency was won by Krishan Pal of the BJP, who defeated Avtar Singh Bhadana of the INC. In the 2009 Parliamentary elections, the BJP was the leading party in the Hodal assembly segment while the Faridabad Lok Sabha constituency was won by Avtar Singh Bhadana of the INC, defeating Ramchander Bainda of the BJP.
