The current standing in the assembly election 2024 in the Sohna constituency shows that the BJP’s Tejpal Tanwar emerged victorious by a margin of 11,877 votes. The Congress candidate Rohtas Singh lost his seat and has secured 49366 vote counts as per the Election Commission of India. The independent candidate Kalyan Singh garnered 49,366 votes.

The Sohna constituency located in the Gurgaon district in Haryana saw a significant voter turnout of 70.6% in the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections according to the Election Commission. The key candidates competing for the assembly seat include Tejpal Tanwar from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rohtash Khatana from the Indian National Congress (INC) along with several independent candidates.

In the previous election, Sanjay Singh of the BJP became victorious defeating Rohtas Singh of the Jannayak Janta Party with a margin of 12,453 votes. The Sohna Assembly constituency falls under the Gurgaon Lok Sabha constituency which was won by BJP’s Rao Inderjit Singh Yadav in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections overthrew Raj Babbar of the INC by a significant margin of 75,079 votes.
