The BJP candidate Pradip Prasad was running ahead of INC candidate Munna Singh and secured the Hazaribagh assembly seat with an overall 43477 votes, as per the ECI predictions.

In the 2024 Jharkhand Assembly election, people voted for the Hazaribagh seat on November 13, 2024, and the counting of votes took place on November 23, 2024. There were a total of 4,32,901 registered voters for the 2024 Assembly election in the Hazaribagh constituency. Out of the 2,20,617 were male, 2,12,283 were female, and 1 of the third gender.

In the 2019 Jharkhand Assembly elections, BJP candidate Manish Jaiswal won the Hazaribagh seat after defeating Dr Ramchandra Prasad of INC with a large margin of 51,812 (23.96%) votes. BJP had a vote share of 49.12% in 2019 in the Hazaribagh constituency seat.
In the 2014 Jharkhand Assembly elections, BJP candidate Manish Jaiswal won this seat after defeating Pradip Prasad of IND with a margin of 27,129 (13.44%) votes on the seat. BJP had a vote share of 44.42% in 2014 on this seat.

In the 2009 Jharkhand Assembly elections, INC’s Saurabh Narain Singh won the Hazaribagh seat after defeating Deo Dayal of BJP with a margin of 9,287 (6.31%) votes for Hazaribagh seat. INC had a vote share of 45.18% in 2009 for this seat.
