Representing the Indian National Congress , Bindhu Krishna won by a margin of 16,830 votes, highlighting a strong performance for the United Democratic Front (UDF) in the constituency.

Her closest rival, S. Jayamohan of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), trailed with 46,586 votes, while BJP candidate Dr. Prathap Kumar N finished third with 18,537 votes.
The result reflects the growing momentum in favour of the Congress-led UDF across the state. The victory is seen as a significant boost for the alliance, reinforcing its position in the ongoing electoral battle.
