Mahagama Election Result 2024: INC's Deepika Pandey Singh Defeats BJP Candidate After Trailing Initially

The Bharatiya Janata Party Candidate Ashok Kumar was leading ahead of Indian National Congress candidate Deepika Panday Singh. However, the result reversed by the evening, and the INC candidate won the Mahagama assembly seat.

In the 2024 Jharkhand Assembly election, Mahagama voted on November 20, 2024. A total of 18 candidates were in the elections fray for the Mahagama Assembly seat in the 2024 Jharkhand Assembly election.  There were a total of 3,31,322 registered voters on the electoral rolls for the 2024 Assembly election in Mahagama Assembly constituency, of which 1,71,598 were male, 1,59,723 female and 1 of the third gender.

In the 2019 Jharkhand Assembly elections, Deepika Pandey Singh of INC won in this seat defeating Ashok Kumar of BJP by a margin of 12,499 which was 06.37% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 45.49% in 2019 in this seat.

In the 2014 Jharkhand Assembly elections, Ashok Kumar of BJP won in this seat defeating Shahid Iqbal of JVM by a margin of 31,560 which was 17.5% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 39.16% in 2014 in this seat.

In the 2009 Jharkhand Assembly elections, Rajesh Ranjan of INC won in this seat defeating Ashok Kumar of BJP by a margin of 8,186 which was 5.82% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 31.16% in 2009 in this seat.
