Asaduddin Owaisi Responds To Rahul Gandhi's BJP-BRS-AIMIM Relation, Said "My Royal Enfield Has More Seat"

Asaduddin Owaisi, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Chief, hit at Rahul Gandhi who claimed that Owaisi’s party of slanting towards Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the ruling party in Telangana, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). Taking to social media platform X (formerly twitter), Mr. Owaisi took a jab at Congress MP Rahul Gandhi asking why does he have to go to Wayanad to find a “safe seat”.

He wrote that his Royal Enfield have more seat than what BJP and “CongRSS” combined will ever have. Indicating Congress and RSS “cahoot”, Mr. Owaisi questioned Rahul Gandhi about giving away his Amethi seat” to BJP.

Mr. Owaisi’s remark came after the Congress leader accused the AIMIM of working together with BJP and RSS, while in a rally in the poll bound place of Telangana. As quoted by ANI, Mr. Gandhi said, in Telangana, there is an electoral contest between Congress and BRS. We have defeated the BJP here. But remember BJP wants BRS to win in Telangana. Both of them are working together. Even the AIMIM is hand in gloves with them”. He also added that in the Parliament, the BRS did whatever the BJP wanted it to do. Mr. Gandhi cited BRS agreeing to the farmers’ bill and GST. He said that all the three parties are working together to beat Congress.

On October 9, Mr. Owaisi remarked that God willing, he hopes the current Chief Minster will come to power again. He also added that AIMIM MLAs will “also succeed in whichever constituencies they will contest”, said Hindustan Times.

Mr. Owaisi made it clear that he stands with BRS. Earlier, when asking for vote, he urged the people of Telangana to vote for AIMIM and in places where the party is not running for seat, he asked people to vote for “maamu”, referring to the current Chief Minister of Telangana, K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

Telangana will go to polls on November 30. The vote counting will take place on December 3. The incumbent government in Telangana, BRS, came to power in 2014. In the 2018 assembly election, BRS has won with a majority of 88 seats and 47.4 percentage of vote.
