Palam Election Results: BJP’s Kuldeep Solanki Leads

Delhi election results: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s Kuldeep Solanki is leading in the Palam assembly constituency with a margin of 1197 votes as per the updates published by the Election Commission of India on its official website. As per the latest lead reports from various media houses, BJP is leading in over 40 seats out of the total 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly.

In Palam, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)’s Joginder Solanki and Indian National Congress’ Mange Ram are in second and third places respectively as per the early leads.

Palam has seen the constituency shifting its political allegiance since its formation with BJP, Congress and AAP. In 1993, Dharam Dev Solanki of Bharatiya Janata Party won the elections from the constituency while Mahender Yadav of Indian National Congress won the elections in 1998. Dharam Dev Solanki was then re-elected for three consecutive terms in 2003, 2008 and 2013. And in 2015 and 2020 Bhavna Gaur of Aam Aadmi Party had won from Palam.

The results for the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections will be announced on Saturday, February 8, determining whether the AAP can secure a fourth consecutive term or if the BJP will reclaim power after 27 years. The Congress, once dominant in Delhi politics, is also attempting a comeback but is expected to remain a minor player.

The counting of votes commenced at 7 am, with initial trends emerging by 8 am. The final results are expected by 6 pm, with real-time updates available on the Election Commission’s official websites.

A victory for AAP would reaffirm Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership and solidify the party’s national ambitions. A loss, however, could weaken its influence beyond Delhi, particularly in Punjab and Gujarat.
