AICC General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who has significant influence on women voters, has played a pivotal role in the victory of Congress in the Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka elections, making her the most reliable leader in the party. In the recently held Telangana, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Mizoram elections, Priyanka held the most number of rallies and roadshows among the top Congress echelons.
After a revitalizing victory in Karnataka, Priyanka has become the flag bearer of Congress with overwhelming public support. This made Congress rely on her to announce important guarantee schemes such as the old pension scheme, offering free electricity up to 200 units, providing a monthly pension of Rs 1,500 to every woman-led household, waiving off farmers’ loans, and making LPG cylinders available at subsidized rates.
After the pursuit in Karnataka, Priyanka spoke at a “Jan Akrosh” rally in Gwalior on July 21. The highlight of Priyanka-led rallies is the presence of female voters. According to a survey, the guarantee schemes announced by Priyanka played a crucial role in Karnataka, where the Congress secured 135 of 224 seats.

As a result, in Madhya Pradesh, Congress women workers have been bestowed 30 tickets, while the BJP contested with 25 women candidates. In Rajasthan, the Congress has fielded 28 women candidates, and in Chhattisgarh, there are 14 women candidates, while the BJP has provided 20 seats to women in Rajasthan.
