Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi visited Madhya Pradesh’s Madhiya Chaugan, the centre of tribal faith on Thursday and sought blessings.

Congress on their official social media page on X, shared posts of Ms Gandhi’s visit to Madhiya Chaugan.

They have also shared video women of the village welcoming Ms Gandhi to the place.

Ms Gandhi will address a public rally, titled “Jan Aakrosh Rally” in Mandla district of poll-bound Madhya Pradesh on Thursday. State Congress media department chairman KK Mishra said that state Congress president Kamal Nath will also address the public rally alongside Ms Gandhi at around 12 noon. Though Mr Nath was presented as the Chief Ministerial face, Congress is yet to announce the rest of the candidates list. Nath told reporters that Congress will release candidates after “Shraddha,” a period where Hindus pay homage to their ancestors and this year it falls from September 29 to October 14.

Meanwhile, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi addressed a rally at Beohari in Shahdol district of Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday.

Madhya Pradesh, along with Chattisgarh, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Mizoram is going to assembly polls by the end of the year. Madhya Pradesh will go to the booths on November 17, and counting will take place on December 3.
