Ravi Kant Of BJP Clinches Victory In Trilokpuri, Defeats AAP's Anjana Parcha

The Trilokpuri Assembly constituency in Delhi witnessed a thrilling contest, with Ravi Kant of the Bharatiya Janata Party emerging victorious with 57,825 votes, winning by a margin of 392 votes.

Anjana Parcha of the Aam Aadmi Party and Amardeep of the Indian National Congress both faced defeat as Anjana was jinxed by just 392 votes.

Trilokpuri is one of the seventy Delhi assembly constituencies of Delhi in northern India. It is a part of East Delhi (Lok Sabha constituency).

The constituency is a reserved SC assembly constituency in East Delhi district. Trilokpuri is a resettlement colony of residents who were rehabilitated here when nearby slums were cleared out in 1975-76.

The area has undergone significant development over the years, with improvements in infrastructure, education, and healthcare.

Anjana Parcha, a prominent political leader and former councillor had a neck-to-neck battle for the Trilokpuri seat on an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ticket.

She has served as the Ex-Councillor of Ward No. 192 Trilokpuri and was a former candidate for the Trilokpuri Vidhan Sabha constituency. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded Ravi Kant, while the Indian National Congress (INC) has nominated Amardeep.

The Election Commission is announcing results for all 70 Delhi constituencies. Voting for Trilokpuri was held on February 5, 2025, in a single phase, with Delhi witnessing a 60.42% (approx.) voting percentage against 62.59% in 2020.

In 1993, Brahm Pal from the Indian National Congress won the seat. Sunil Kumar from the Bharatiya Janata Party won the seat in 1998, 2003, and 2008. In 2013, Raju Dhingan from the Aam Aadmi Party won the seat, followed by Rohit Kumar in 2015 and 2020.
