Telangana Assembly Elections Results: Congress’ Tammannagari Ram Mohan Reddy Defeats BRS’ K Mahesh Reddy In Pargi constituency

In Telangana’s Pargi seat, Tammannagari Ram Mohan Reddy of Congress has won with an impressive 98536 votes beating K Mahesh Reddy of BRS who polled 74523 votes. BJP candidate Maruthi Kiran Booneti who came third, has garnered 16653 votes. It was T Ram Mohan Reddy of Congress had served as the representative for this constituency from 2014 to 2018.

The assembly elections of Telangana state were held on November 30 for 119 seats. Pargi is one of the constituencies in Vikarabad district of Telangana. The assembly constituency presently comprises the mandals namely Pargi, Domah, Kulkacharla, Pudur, Chowdapur, Muhmoodabad, and Gandeeed.

In the 2009 assembly elections, Koppula Harishwar Reddy of TDS had garnered 53099 votes defeating the independent candidate T Ram Mohan Reddy who gathered 38655 votes. The assembly elections of 2014 were of a different outcome. Tammannagari Ram Mohan Reddy of Congress secured victory with 68098 votes leaving behind TRS candidate Koppula Harishwar Reddy who had gathered 62935 votes. In 2018 Pargi witnessed the victory of TRS candidate Koppula Mahesh Reddy with an impressive 83471 votes. Congress candidate T Ram Mohan Reddy was the runner-up by securing 67631 votes, and he was followed by K Mallesham of SMFB with 8694 votes.

It was on 30th November the elections to the Telangana State Assembly were held. Overall, according to the latest reports, out of the total 119 seats, Congress is leading with 64 seats and BRS is in second with 39 seats. BJP is currently in the third position with 8 seats in the total seat share. While the AIMIM and CPI were able to secure 7 and 1 seats respectively.

Along with Telangana, the Assembly elections were held in four other states including Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Mizoram.
