Telangana Election Results: Gudem Mahipal Reddy Wins Patancheru Assembly

In the 2023 Telangana state assembly elections, BRS’s Gudem Mahipal Reddy won against INC’s Kata Srinivas Goud in Patancheru constituency. Telangana is witnessed a tough contest between Gudem Mahipal Reddy of BRS and Kata Srininvas Goud of INC. In the last two assembly elections held in Patancheru, Gudem Mahipal Reddy of the TRS won the elections and he retained the seat third time as well. Gudem Reddy secured 105387 votes while, Srinivas Goud came second securing 98296 votes. BSP candidate Neelam Mandhu came third with 46162 votes. The constituency had 276881 voters then.

The Telangana State Assembly election was held on 30th November 2023 for 119 seats. Patancheru assembly constituency is consisted of five Mandals’ namely, Patancheru, Ameenpur, Jinnaram, Gummadidala and Ramachandrapuram.

In 2014 assembly elections, TRS’s G Mahipal Reddy defeated M Sapanadev of TDP by a margin of 18896 votes. Mahipal secured 73986 votes and Sapanadev secured 55100 votes. INC ‘s T Nandeshwar Goud came third with 37226 votes and won the election in 2009 by defeating M Sapanadev of TDP. The constituency had 293482 voters then.

In 2018, G Mahipal Reddy of TRS defeated Kata Srinivas Goud of INC as the former secured 116474 votes and the later secured 78775 votes. This time P Karunakar Reddy BJP came third with 7428 votes .The total electorate was 281790 in 2018.

Overall, according to the latest report, out of the total 119 seats, INC won in 64 seats while BHRS secured 39 seats. Along with Telangana, assembly elections were held in four other states including Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram. The results of these four states was also announced today except for Mizoram. The results of Mizoram will be announced on December 4.
