Telangana Election Results: Vemula Prashanth Reddy Wins Balkonda Assembly

Vemula Prashanth Reddy of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has been declared the winner of the Balkonda Assembly Constituency in the 2023 Telangana Assembly elections on Sunday. The Election Commission announced Reddy”s triumph with a commanding margin of 70,417 votes, solidifying his dominance in the political arena. The elections to Telangana state assembly was held on November 30 in 119 constituencies.

The electoral battlefield in Balkonda witnessed a spirited contest among key contenders, including Annapurna Aleti devi from the BJP, Sunil Kumar Muthyala from the INC, and the victorious Vemula Prashanth Reddy from the BRS party.

A stalwart of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), Vemula Prashanth Reddy had previously etched his name in political history when he secured victory in 2018 by defeating Sunil Kumar Muthyala of the Bahujan Samaj Party with a formidable margin of 32,408 votes, capturing a 48% vote share.
