New Delhi: As the Delhi election campaign intensifies, the political battle between parties are brewing at unexpected level. The BJP appears to have met its match in AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, Anita Katyal, Delhi-base journalist writes.

Last week, AAP national convenor and former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal made a huge allegation that BJP is distributing cash and gold chain to the people to buy votes for the polls.

Kejriwal alleged it appears that BJP has surrendered entirely; hence, they have resorted to dishonesty. He has also accused the BJP of pocketing most of the money, meant for the people, making public upset. The party has sent them Rs. 10,000 to distribute, but the BJP leaders have kept Rs. 9,000 and gave only Rs. 1,000, Kejriwal alleged.

Katyal claims that Kejriwal’s allegation has created fresh problem for BJP campaigners. When they reach out to voters for seeking support to the BJP, people asked them to first pay up the Rs. 9,000 agreed to them by the party.

“Needless to say, BJP leaders and workers have a tough time clarifying that there was no truth in this charge and that this is propaganda spread by the AAP,” journalist wrote.

Furthermore, AAP chief has further appealed to the voters to go to BJP offices and demand money or gifts even through arguing or fighting. But urged them not to sell their vote under any circumstance, as it precious and valuable.

“I am not asking you to vote for the AAP. My appeal to you is not to sell your votes… these are traitors to the nation. They are trying to buy the country. They have become so arrogant that they believe they can purchase this nation,” Indian Express quotes, as Kejriwal is saying.
