Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK), starring Pavish Narayan and Anikha Surendran in the lead, hit theaters today. Directed by Dhanush, the film opened to positive reviews by the public. NEEK explores the concept of Gen Z love with a promising blend of humor and drama.

The film features young talents like Pavish Narayan, Anikha Surendran, Priya Prakash Varrier, Matthew Thomas, and Siddhartha Shankar on board.

Apart from the stellar performances by the leads, GV Prakash’s music and the cinematography were the backbone of the film’s success. One X user said, “NEEK has been watched—another blockbuster for D as a director. What a beautifully shot film. GVP’s music stood as the backbone of the movie. Pavish as debut didn’t feel like it was; Matthew’s role was good. All the actresses were great, and the movie’s visuals and making were super.”

This netizen felt NEEK radiates the vibe of Thiruchitrambalam and referred Dhanush as a visionary. “Overall, #NEEK gives off 70% of the same vibes as Thiruchitrambalam. As a director, Dhanush wins again, providing winning moments for all the young actors in the film. Another social media user felt the film was a “soothing treat for mid-aged 90’s-20k kids.” The review read, “dhanushkraja & gvprakash main pillars of this film’s success  Gvp’s music is absolutely fresh and young and soul connecting at the same time mixed with D’s directorial is amazing. Overall, #NEEK is an eye– and soul-soothing treat for mid-aged 90’s -20k kids like me.”
