Kollywood actor Jayam Ravi announced that he was parting ways with wife Aarthi, in a shocking revelation to fans. Claiming it was his personal decision taken after careful consideration, the actor requested for privacy and understanding from his fans.
The Ponniyin Selvan fame actor, on Monday, officially announced his divorce stating that the dissolution of marriage with Aarthi was taken after much “thought, discussion, and reflection”. Moreover, the actor has asked his fans to respect their privacy in this regard. Sharing the official statement on X, he wrote “Grateful for your love and understanding.”

About his decision to break the 15 years of marriage, the actor stated that the decision was not made out of haste and it stemmed from personal reasons. He also requested his fans to not make assumptions, rumors, and allegations in this regard and let the matter stay private. Referring to his work front, the actor declared that his priority remains the same, which is to bring joy and entertainment to his fans.

The reason for the separation was not disclosed by the couple. Earlier this year, Aarti and Jayam Ravi made headlines after rumors about their divorce were doing the rounds. Jayam Ravi and Aarti got married in June 2009. They are parents to two sons, Aarav and Ayaan.
