Adult star Sophia Leone died at the age of 26. She was found “unresponsive” in her apartment earlier this month, said her stepfather Mike Romero. This is the fourth death in the industry in three months. Sophia’s father shared the news on GoFundMe as he was seeking funds for her memorial.

“On behalf of her mother and family, it is with heavy heart that I have to share the news of our beloved Sophia’s passing”. He said that on top of the process of grieving, the family is facing financial crisis that they were not prepared for. Probe into the cause of the death is under way, said the stepfather.

Sophia’s modeling agency 101 Modeling also confirmed the news and said that their “hearts are broken by the untimely and tragic passing of our beloved Sophia Leone”. Taking to their X (formerly twitter) account, the agency also mentioned the GoFundMe started by the star’s family. The agency said Sophia did not die of suicide and her death is being investigated as a “home invasion homicide”.

Sophia Leone was born in June 10, 1997 in America’s Miami. Reportedly, she entered the adult entertainment industry at the age 18. She was said to have net worth of $1 million. Sophia Leone’s death is the fourth untimely demise in the adult industry since the beginning of 2024, after the death of Kagney Linn Karter, Jesse Jane, and Thaina Fields.

Eight months before the death, Thaina Fields revealed about the exploitation she faced within the industry. Sharing the unfathomable abuses, the porn star had voiced the prevalent sexual harassment that she went through. The 24-year-old Thaina was found dead in her apartment in Trujillo, Peru. Many suspect foul play in her untimely death due to the revelation she had made before her death.
