Popular adult film actress, Kagney Linn Karter has tragically died after taking her life in her home in Parma, Ohio. The news was shared by her friends on the website GoFundMe on Monday.

A GoFundMe was started by Karter’s friends on behalf her mother Tina, confirming the news. According to the description available there, Karter was struggling with mental health issues for years. Reportedly, they added, “Even in her darkest days, however, she still showed up to the studio, always ready to learn, contribute, better herself in whatever small way she could manage.”

The statement also added, “As alone as she undoubtedly felt within the confines of her own head, she continued to make an effort to show up for her friends and the community who care about her. She fought her own battles with the same tenacity and drive she showed in every other area of her life, with as much strength as she could.”

The collected money from GoFundMe will reportedly be going towards Karter’s funeral expenses while the leftover friends will be donated to a local animal rescue charity.

The 36-year-old Karter had appeared in around 320 adult film titles, establishing her career in the mid-2000s. She also won two AVN Awards in the year 2010. The adult model was also a performer and a singer.

In 2019, she left Los Angeles and moved to Ohio to open her pole dancing studio, moving away from the adult film industry. Karter’s Instagram account features videos of her performing on poles.
