Malayalam romantic-comedy flick Premalu has already won the hearts of many. And now the movie has grabbed the attention of renowned filmmaker SS Rajamouli. The RRR director during an event of the movie, admitted that it makes him jealous that the Malayalam industry produces better actors.

The movie ‘Premalu’ was recently released in the Telugu language and has garnered immense love and appreciation from film critics and Telugu audiences. Rajamouli made this notable comment during the success meet event of the film in Hyderabad on March 12.

The Bahubali and RRR director showering his appraisal for the film said that rom-coms aren’t his choice of genre but he surprisingly has enjoyed the film throughout. Appreciating the work of writer Aditya who has written the Telugu dialogues said that the movie has to be watched in theatres as one can enjoy the film better when the person next to you bursts out in laughter.

He then appreciating the Malayalam industry said these notable comments, “It is with jealousy and pain that I admit the Malayalam film industry produces better actors. In this film too, they did a fantastic job.”

Praising the star-studded casts of Premalu, he remarked that the actors had done a fantastic job. He also emphasized the Mollywood industry’s capability to deliver high-quality performances. Rajamouli praising the performance of Mamitha Baiju’s performance in the film said, “I was already impressed by her performance when I watched the trailer”. The RRR director predicted that the actress would soon become a heartthrob among audiences.

The Telugu version of the film was released theatrically on March 8. The film is the third directorial of Girish AD. The film portrays Naslen and Mamitha Baiju, Sangeeth Prathap, Shyam Mohan M, Shameer Khan and others in pivotal roles.
