Arijit Singh Dethrones Taylor Swift; Becomes Most Followed Artist On Spotify

The voice people turn to when going through a heartbreak, Arijit Singh has added another achievement after becoming the most followed artist on Spotify. He has surpassed pop star Taylor Swift and taken the crown.
With 118.69 million followers on Spotify, Arijit Singh gained the top spot. Taylor Swift closely follows behind with 118.78 million followers. In the third spot, Ed Sheeran stands with 115.35 million followers. Ariana Grande has 98.74 million followers, while Billie Eilish has 97.84 million followers on Spotify.

Although the monthly listeners of both artists have vast differences. While Swift has a 95.67 million monthly listeners, the Bollywood singer has 40.38 million monthly listeners.
At the same time, Swift is a global icon with fans from across the world, while Singh has fans mostly from India.
